Battery disposal

Note on battery disposal according to the Battery Act (BattG2)
In connection with the sale of batteries or rechargeable batteries as well as devices containing them, we as a retailer are obliged, in accordance with the provisions of the Battery Act (BattG2), to inform you as the end user about the following points:

1. Obligation to return used batteries
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries properly.

You can return old batteries that we currently carry or have carried as new batteries free of charge. You can return them either directly to us or by mail to the following address (please ensure sufficient postage is applied):

2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

The following chemical symbols may appear under the symbol:
Pb = contains more than 0.0004 mass percent lead
Cd = contains more than 0.0002 mass percent cadmium
Hg = contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury

These substances are harmful to the environment and health. Therefore, please dispose of batteries only at approved collection points or return them to us.

3. Devices with built-in batteries
Many of the products we offer contain built-in rechargeable batteries or batteries , for example:

Cordless tools (e.g. from Milwaukee)
Electronic testing and measuring instruments
Battery-powered lights and tracking technology
Equipment for sewer inspection or leak testing

These devices, too, must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of their service life. You can either hand them in to a municipal collection point for old electrical appliances or to us for proper disposal.

4. Return via municipal collection points
In addition to returning batteries and old devices to us, you can also drop them off free of charge at public collection points (e.g., waste disposal centers or recycling centers). You can find an overview of these centers on your municipality's or district's website.

5. Your contribution to environmental protection
By properly disposing of batteries and devices with built-in rechargeable batteries, you help prevent harmful environmental impacts and recycle valuable resources. Thank you for your contribution!
